Helen grew up in Yorkshire, England, with a strong background in theater and dance. She began dancing at a young age and competed at a high level throughout her youth. During her teenage years, she toured with the National Youth Dance Company of Great Britain while also attending the London Contemporary Dance School, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. She later received a scholarship to further her dance studies at Harvard University, which marked her first experience living in the United States.
After performing and traveling for several years, Helen met her husband, Mark, a native New Yorker. They have now lived in Florida for more than 20 years and have a son, Brandon.
Helen graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Polk State College in 2013 and has been part of the Hohman Rehab team since 2017. She currently serves as the Clinical Director of the Ocoee office, where she helps support both patients and the clinical team while contributing to a positive, collaborative environment.

What Helen loves about the job
Helen enjoys helping patients improve balance, coordination, strength, mobility, safety, and confidence with everyday activities. She also values the role movement can play in reducing stress and helping patients feel more capable in their daily lives.
She appreciates the variety that comes with physical therapy, as every patient brings different goals and challenges. With her extensive background in dance, Helen especially enjoys working with dancers and helping them improve movement, strength, and performance.

Helen enjoys working at Hohman Rehab because of the supportive team environment and the wide variety of patients and conditions she gets to work with. She values that the clinic treats patients across the lifespan, from infants and children to older adults, which keeps each day engaging and meaningful.
As Clinical Director, Helen also enjoys mentoring, supporting, and collaborating with an amazing team. She takes pride in helping both patients and clinicians grow, while contributing to a positive environment where everyone can do their best work.
