Physical Therapy in Apopka FAQs

It depends on your condition, goals, and weekly schedule. After your evaluation, your Apopka PT will recommend a plan and timeline, then adjust as you progress.

We work with many plans and can review your benefits before the first visit. Prefer self-pay? We’ll outline straightforward options at our Apopka PT clinic.

Comfortable clothing and shoes that allow free movement. Bring any post-op instructions or recent imaging if applicable.

Yes! Brief, targeted exercises that support what we do in our Apopoka clinic and keep results moving forward.

Should there be any problem, we ask that you talk to us. In most cases we find that a little communication and education goes a long way. Just call us to speak with us, email your therapist or speak with them on your next visit. It’s YOUR body and YOUR therapy. We want you understanding WHAT you’re doing and WHY you’re doing it.

If you experience an increase in pain or soreness, it may be okay to use heat or ice, but make sure to speak with your therapist about how to use it safely and effectively.

There are two types of soreness. A “good sore” is when muscles that haven’t been used properly start working in a more normal fashion. This is great and necessary for improvement. A “bad sore” is when your primary, or another pain increases. We will always educate you on listening to your body, in that we do not want to cause more pain. Pain is your body’s way of saying, “please take a detour in the treatment to get to the final outcome”. If your “bad” pain increases, you can always contact the office or your physical therapist directly via email.

If it’s an emergency situation, call 911. If it’s bearable but you are concerned, call us immediately. If it’s bearable and it occurs often, you may ice or heat it. Ask your therapist to learn what is best for you.
